New & Improved Peanut Butter Protein Balls

Happy Hump Day!

This past weekend I did lots of food prepping, which I share with you at the beginning of next week, but my brother-in-law keeps begging me to make him protein balls which brought me to this post!  This got me thinking that I haven’t made any for myself in a long time either!

So I got busy in the kitchen and make a new and improved protein ball.  I combined ingredients from my power balls  and from my peanut butter protein balls to make a fantastic, lower fat snack.  Check them out!

New & Improved Peanut Butter Protein Balls

  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 1/4 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp flaxseed
  • 2.5 tbsp organic honey
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce

  •  Roll into 12 balls
  •  Refrigerate and enjoy!

 You need to pack these up and snack away to get over the hump of the week if you ask me!

You could even try these with PB2, for a lower fat recipe.  I love using the real thing though!

 I stored mine in plastic containers in the refrigerator.  These are great for snacks to take to work.

    These sound good. I have been doing a little food prep today between loads of laundry, the gym and school work. I haven’t made protein bites in a long time but should really start again. Such a great snack to take for a little pick-up in the afternoon.
